Jolee was born and raised in Gladstone, Michigan.  She is a 2004 graduate of Gladstone High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Art's degree in Economics at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame in December of 2008 (Go Irish!).  Immediately upon graduating, Jolee was offered a job from Michigan Insurance Company as a Personal Lines Underwriter for the Upper Peninsula territory which allowed her to live wherever she chose within the U.P. and naturally, Marquette was the place!  Jolee lived in Marquette for just over four years.  In July of 2013, she was offered a new opportunity as an insurance agent at Taylor, Lord and Hughes Insurance Agency in Escanaba where she has bought a house and now resides with her Cavalier pup, Whistler.

After moving back to Delta County, Jolee recognized the need for a young professionals organization in the area similar to 40 Below.  The last five(+) months Jolee has been working diligently with a handful of local influences and other young and passionate individuals to develop the area's own young professionals organization.  Jolee is over the moon excited to announce, in collaboration with Michigan Works!, Upper Edge, Delta County! Jolee sends a big thanks to the members of 40 Below who have provided guidance through this journey. Along with being a member of 40 Below, Jolee is also a graduate of the Delta Force program, a board member of the Upper Peninsula Association of Independent Insurance Agents and an active member in her church.  In her downtime, Jolee enjoys spoiling her dog, spending time at the family cottage, visiting siblings and nieces/nephews, mountain biking, cooking and lastly, a good glass of vino.
