Join the Iron Range Roll Task Force as planning commences for the second annual event, slated for Saturday, June 6, 2015. The Iron Range Roll Task Force is open to all members interested in assisting with communications, outreach, logistics, volunteers, safety, registration and more. Learn about how you can participate in this awesome event and help 40 Below raise funds for the YMCA of Marquette County‘s “Reach & Rise” youth mentoring program. The task force will be meeting every Wednesday* at the Ore Dock Brewing Company.
The “Iron Range Roll” is a 16 mile point to point fun (but timed) race from Ishpeming to Marquette along the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. This relay/run/bicycle event celebrates the heritage and recreational culture of Marquette County – all in the name of giving back to our community’s youth through the YMCA of Marquette County’s “Reach & Rise” youth mentoring program. Along the Iron Ore Heritage Trial from downtown Ishpeming to the iconic Ore Dock in Marquette, recreational and community enthusiasts of all ages will participate in a friendly, timed downhill excursion on foot, bicycle, or as part of a relay team.
*The meeting schedule may be altered due to weather or other event conflicts. Keep an eye on the 40 Below Calendar of Events for the most up-to-date schedule.
