Emily is a Negaunee native and graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2001 with a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Management. After graduation, she worked her way up through different management positions with Wal-Mart, transferring to Wisconsin for a short time, eventually ending up back in Marquette as the Vision Center Manager.

Since 2006, she has been an Administrative Assistant at UPPCO. Her position exposes her to many different areas of the organization and is constantly changing and evolving.

She credits UPPCO and 40 Below with encouraging her and providing the opportunity to help out different community organizations. She is currently secretary of Lakeview Elementary Parent Teacher Partnership, and new to the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Marquette and Alger Counties. You can also find her volunteering for fundraisers for the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Ishpeming.

In her free time she enjoys playing softball and spending time with her friends and family; husband, Dave, and children Jake (7) and Madeline (4).
